About Mark Herman

Mark Herman is the President of Herman Organ Company, a Los Angeles-based firm specializing in museum-quality restoration and care of pipe organs. With a keen focus on preserving the rich heritage of these instruments, Mark leads a talented team of skilled craftsmen dedicated to restoring and enhancing the sound of historic organs and preserving their voice through seasonal tuning and maintenance visits.

As an organ consultant and project manager, Mark is highly sought after for his expertise in voicing and tonal consultation nationally, especially with regards to theatre pipe organs.

In addition to his business ventures, Mark has a background as a distinguished theatre organist and composer. He has performed at conventions for the American Theatre Organ Society, the American Guild of Organists, and the Organ Historical Society, as well as on international tours. Mark has been featured on American Public Media’s Pipedreams and has composed silent film scores for The Criterion Collection.​
